Continuing to build upon SCS Interactive’s long standing relationship with Great Wolf Resorts, Inc.®, SCS Interactive has provided a dramatic iconic attraction for Great Wolf Resort’s newest resort waterpark in Grand Mound, Wash.
Great Wolf Lodge® Grand Mound officially opened the doors of its Bear Track Landing™ indoor waterpark on April 24th, 2008. This is the tenth Great Wolf Lodge indoor waterpark to feature SCS Interactive’s multi-level treehouse structure as its cornerstone attraction.
“When our guests first enter the waterpark, the wow factor is seeing the treehouse waterfort and tipping bucket. Kids can’t wait to climb in and explore every inch of the structure. And parents can’t help but get swept up in the excitement and join their kids,” said Kim Schaefer, chief operating officer of Great Wolf Resorts.
The treehouse waterfort attraction called Fort Mackenzie™ stands four stories tall, houses a magnificent nearly 1,000 gallon tipping bucket and a suspension bridge. It also features a northwoods-inspired theme, two body slides, and variety of exciting interactive spray pool elements. Visitors to the waterpark will enjoy more than 60 guest activated water features that squirt, spray, and blast.
“The treehouse concept has given Great Wolf Resorts an enormous amount of flexibility to customize the attraction, giving each resort its own unique identity, while creating a distinct and recognizable feature that links each property together,” said Steve Wagner, vice president of marketing and sales, SCS Interactive.
The Great Wolf Lodge indoor waterpark in Grand Mound, Wash. also features seven indoor waterslides, three pools and an indoor/outdoor hot tub and sun deck.
SCS Interactive’s hallmark waterplay structures are featured at Great Wolf Lodge resorts in Wisconsin Dells, WI; Sandusky, OH; Traverse City, MI; Kansas City, KS; Williamsburg, VA; the Pocono Mountains, PA; Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada; Mason, OH; Grapevine TX; and Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center in Sheboygan, WI.
SCS partnered with aquatic design build firm, Neuman Group, and slide manufacturer, ProSlide, to complete this project and worked with The Weber Group to integrate SCS’s custom-themed attraction with the resort’s overall theme.
