Imagine Exhibitions Trolls Atlanta Botanical Garden face

Imagine Exhibitions, a leader in worldwide travelling exhibitions and entertainment, is celebrating the world premiere of Trolls: Save the Humans – an exhibition featuring six enormous sculptures built from reclaimed materials.

The all-new display featuring sculpture artist Thomas Dambo‘s folklore-inspired designs will be on show at Atlanta Botanical Garden from February to September this year.

Trolls: Save the Humans, a distinctive outdoor art installation created by Imagine Exhibitions in partnership with the artist, combines art, nature, and themes of sustainability. The exhibition is Dambo’s most recent experiment with creating enormous trolls that have an environmental message and range in height from 15 to 25 feet.

The 101 larger-than-life trolls that co-exist in various locales throughout the world, including Denmark, France, Germany, China, South Korea, Chile, and the United States, are the subject of the new exhibition, which builds on Nordic-inspired tales and artist-created lyrics.

Trolls: Save the Humans is the latest chapter of the international sculpture fairytale, written by Dambo one installation at a time. In the latest development, six young activist trolls have noticed that humans have become disconnected from nature and have inadvertently been harming the planet.

Full of personality and activism, each troll has their unique personality, becoming ecological role models for humans to learn from. The dual-purpose exhibition entertains visitors through nature and sculpture, whilst inspiring visitors to recycle, rethink and value their waste.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden’s goal is to create and preserve plant collections for exhibition, education, research, enjoyment, and conservation, ensuring a perfect fit for the exhibition which builds characters entirely from reclaimed materials.

“As an organization whose mission is to help save the planet through plant conservation and research, this exhibition is the perfect fit for helping us spread the sustainability message among our guests, plus it’s an accessible experience for all ages,” says Atlanta Botanical Garden president and CEO Mary Pat Matheson.

Imagine Exhibitions president & CEO Tom Zaller adds: “We are delighted to collaborate on this world premiere and to offer a new outdoor exhibition for visitors, bringing another amazing exhibition to Imagine’s hometown of Atlanta.”

Tickets for Trolls: Save the Humans are available from the Atlanta Botanical Garden website.

Imagine Exhibitions is currently presenting Harry Potter: The Exhibition, the most comprehensive touring exhibition ever presented about the Wizarding World, now showing in Atlanta, Vienna, opening in Paris in April and coming to New York soon.
