SANAD Capital, the company behind the AUS$450 million (US$350m) ACTVENTURE theme park project, has formerly appointed three industry experts as international advisors.
Joe Zenas, CEO of the Thinkwell Group, Geoff Chutter, president and CEO of WhiteWater, and Fredrik Jonsson, founder and managing partner of hotel operator Mereha, will sit on the advisory panel for Actventure. The development is being built on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. All three companies were previously announced as project partners/suppliers.
“We are very excited about these three outstanding individuals joining our advisory panel, who are exceptional leaders and experts in their respective fields,” says SANAD Capital CEO, Bradley P Sutherland. “As we move into the construction phase of ACTVENTURE, Joe, Geoff and Fredrik’s expertise will add to the success of bringing a first-of-its-kind destination to the country.”
SANAD Capital is an offshoot of Dubai-based investment group Najibi. Its plans for ACTVENTURE, previously codenamed ACTVE, include a state-of-the-art waterpark, a lawn for hosting major events and an outdoor adventure park. A 6,000 square metre retail zone is also planned, together with a choice of restaurants.
SANAD has submitted an application to Sunshine Coast Council for approval to start bulk earthworks. The new advisory panel members will serve a three-year, renewable term.
