Alcorn McBride to debut RidePlayer onboard control solution at InfoComm 2017

Leading manufacturer of show control, audio and video equipment for the themed entertainment industry, Alcorn McBride, is set to showcase a number of new and expanded product lines at InfoComm 2017.

Alcorn McBride to debut RidePlayer onboard control solution at InfoComm 2017A key innovation in the sector is RidePlayer, which will make its debut at the event.

RidePlayer is a complete on-board audio and control solution for themed entertainment, particularly suited to dark rides, parade floats, tour vehicles and roller coaster applications.

The product’s leading-edge design precisely synchronises on-board audio with wayside audio, video, lighting and animatronics to deliver a seamless guest experience. Powered by Alcorn McBride’s show control core, RidePlayer can remotely control and monitor almost any device such as PLCs, RFID scanners, track sensors, and more.

The audio playback system doesn’t disappoint either with advanced features including polyphonic playback and integrated DSP that allows for routing, mixing, and crossfading between multiple tracks.

Other innovations to look out for at the Alcorn McBride booth include the company’s expanded V-Page line. This offers a flexible easy-to-use paging and intercom solution that integrates seamlessly into themed attractions.

New additions include the VP4 for simple 4-zone paging; the VP12I (above left) for 12-zone intercom applications; and the VP12P for 12-zone paging. Custom kits are also available, making V-page ideal for consoles and retrofits of existing paging and intercom systems.

Ease of use has been a key driver in the development of this line. To simplify installation and greatly reduce the learning curve, V-Page is configured and controlled using a QSC Q-SYS™ Core processor With just basic knowledge of the Q-SYS Platform, installers and technicians can easily deploy any V-Page system.

Attendees interested in synchronous A/V players should check out the upgraded A/V Binloop, A/V Binloop HD and A/V Binloop Uncompressed which now offer optional AES67 network audio output cards for optimal compatibility.

Meet the Alcorn McBride team at Booth #3911, InfoComm 2017, June 14-16 at the Orange County Convention Centre.
