Bournemouth Oceanarium has implemented TOR Systems ticketing and booking system, Maxim, and seen a marked improvement in operations.
TOR Systems is the UK-based leading ticketing, Epos and booking supplier. The Maxim system can process general admission, capacity controlled and timed programmes, events, memberships and renewals.
The implementation has lead to a marked improvement in operational processes. The Oceanarium has also seen improved customer flow since the system went live.
Maxim has been used to streamline its membership purchasing process and back office ticket configuration. This has resulted in a better overall customer experience.
The new flexible pricing model has also enabled the Oceanarium to take advantage of peak/off peak periods coupled with local weather conditions in order to maximise revenue.
The next stage of the project will focus on integration into the aquarium’s current online booking system, to provide consistency across the group.

Throughout our till installation project TOR Systems have worked closely with us to ensure there were no issues when going live. The aftercare we have received has been second to none.”
The Bournemouth Aquarium is an aquarium located on the seafront in Bournemouth, England. It features 10 environments, including the Amazon, Key West, the Mediterranean, Abyss, and the Great Barrier Reef. It is owned by Spanish leisure giant Parques Reunidos, who operate 67 parks across the world including Blackpool Zoo.
