Leading movie theatre chain, Cinemark, is installing more motion seats by leading immersive experience specialist, D-BOX Technologies Inc., across theatres in Latin America in response to increased demand.

Cinemark logoD-BOX motion seats are being installed in existing theatres in Colombia, Brazil, and Peru, as well as in two new screens in Chile.

What’s more, cinema-goers in Nicaragua will experience D-BOX for the first time with the opening of two new screens.

The popularity of D-BOX is growing in Latin America where audiences are eager to experience the latest immersive technologies. This most recent agreement will bring the total number of D-BOX screens in Latin America to 126, signifying Cinemark’s agile response to a growing market.

‘A premium attraction that resonates with Cinemark guests’

D-BOX is increasingly seen as a long-term solution for exhibitors focused on building their brands and boosting box office revenues.

Cinemark currently operates 533 theatres with 5,964 screens in 41 U.S. states, as well as Brazil, Argentina, and 13 other Latin American countries.
