Clip ‘n Climb, an international leader in the fun climbing market, is gearing up to bring an innovative new software application, Clip ‘n Score, to IAAPA Expo Europe.

Clip ‘n Climb is pleased to be heading to IAAPA Expo Europe in September with an exciting new product, Clip ‘n Score, amongst other innovations.  Attendees at the event, which takes place in Paris from the 16th – 19th September, will be able to try the new software, which marks a shift towards gamification

Clip ‘n Score has been in development for two years, and the company is looking forward to showcasing it to industry professionals at Europe’s leading attractions industry event. Clip ‘n Climb has designed the product in response to the trends for gamification and connectivity.

A gaming element

Clip ‘n Climb Tiphaine Lazard is Product Manager at Clip ‘n Climb. She says: “To align ourselves with the fact that people like to feel connected, but still to be offering a healthy leisure activity, we are introducing a gaming element to Clip ‘n Climb.”

Clip ‘n Score encourages climbers to challenge themselves by keeping a record of and trying to increase their scores. Points are added for different courses based on agility, courage and difficulty. The new system allows climbers to track their progress through a range of statistics including climbing height and speed. Clip ‘n Score uses contactless technology and users can play solo or as a team, competing for the highest scores.

The future of leisure

Alongside the launch of this new technology, the company has also produced an industry white paper, titled “The Future of Leisure”.

The research for the paper took place in two stages. Firstly, worldwide Consumer Reseach was conducted, with 2000 parents of children under 16. After these results were compiled a world-leading futurologist, Ian Pearson, gave his predictions on what elements will be important for the future of leisure.

Eric Surdej is CEO of Clip ‘n Climb. He says: “As a leader in our sector, it is important for us to be aware of the changes to come to align our innovations with these future trends”. Attendees at IAAPA Expo Europe will have the chance to get a copy of the white paper.

Sportainment

ABEO is a sportainment group, and the parent company of Clip ‘n Climb. Two other ABEO, companies Janssen-Fritsen and FunSpot will also be at IAAPA Expo Europe to showcase a variety of Sportainment solutions.

As well as Clip ‘n Score, the company will also be highlighting the newest challenge in the Clip ‘n Climb range, called Ascendor. This colourful 3D ladder is suitable for beginners and young children.  Ascendor has a small footprint, meaning it is ideal for existing centres or small spaces.

Clip ‘n Climb will be at booth #3133. IAAPA Expo Europe is the premier event for the leisure industry in Europe, and IAAPA recently announced an extensive line-up of speakers who will be taking part, including world-renowned attractions experts.
