Cloward H20’s Vice President and Principal, Allen Clawson and Project Manager, Dan Aldred, will be participating in this month’s Aquatic Animal Life Support Operators (AALSO) Symposium and Workshops.

AALSO logoAALSO represents water quality and mechanical system professionals within the LSS industry. Cloward H2O, a leader in the field, has supported the non-profit organisation since it was founded in 1994.

According to Clawson, the company ‘cut its teeth’ on the LSS industry from its own infancy in the early ‘80s. Today, around 30% of Cloward H2O’s total business is aquatic animal related in facilities across the globe. The company is currently working on exhibits at 4 zoos, 2 aquariums and a major resort property in the US. Internationally, it has 7 more LSS-related projects in 6 different countries.

Total in-process design for these 14 projects amounts to 76 separate exhibits containing more than 8 million gallons of sea water and 650 thousand gallons of fresh water.

AALSO workshops will be hosted at The Buffalo Zoo, The Aquarium of Niagara, and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada

This year’s AALSO workshops are being hosted by three separate attractions: The Buffalo Zoo, The Aquarium of Niagara, and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. The Symposium will be held in Niagara, New York.

The annual gathering of LSS professionals provides a collaborative atmosphere for operators to share their experiences and learn from colleagues and experts from all over the world.

The programme includes networking opportunities, facilities tours and a wide range of speakers covering everything from aquarium lighting to the latest in exhibit innovations. Workshops will also provide training and certification testing.

Cloward H2O is at the forefront of cutting-edge LSS solutions. Past projects include the Kuwait Scientific Center Aquarium and the Granby Zoo South Pacific Odyssey Exhibit. The company is also a leading provider of aquatic design and engineering services to resorts and attractions. Recent projects include the hot springs pool at Ouray, Colorado and the new Fareground at One Eleven Congress Plaza in Austin, Texas.

AALSO runs from March 25th-28th 2018.
