Dream Island has been busy announcing the installation of rides and attractions. It has now confirmed ‘Hammer of Doom’ is installed in the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ zone of the theme park.

The giant swing ride will take guests on an immersive and adrenaline-filled journey set in the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

According to Dream Island, ‘Baxter Stockman’s Hammer of Doom’ is one of the most extreme attractions at the theme park. It was created by SBF VisaGroup.

Riders will sit on a round landing disk with their backs to each other, before the disk starts to swing and the platform elevates and turns them upside down.

Hammer of Doom will reach a maximum height of 15.6 metres and seats up to 32 passengers.

Ivan Shol, Technical Director at Dream Island, said Hammer of Doom “will look very intimidating, with a huge hammer disk and rotating blades”.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed area, set to complete in October, will boast three attractions, gift shops, Antonio’s Pizzeria, and three fast-food outlets.

Set in a replica of New York, the area also includes a ‘Ninjutsu School’, as well as the ‘Drop Tower Ride’ and the ‘Launch Coaster’.

Last week, Dream Island announced three more attractions have been installed at ‘The Lost World of Dinosaurs’ thematic zone.

Dream Island will have eight thematic zones with 27 rides, as well as themed restaurants, cafés, and souvenir shops.

The themed zones include ‘Fairytale Village’, ‘The Snow Queen’s Castle’, ‘Dream Race’, and ‘Ninja Turtles’. Rides at ‘Smurfs Village’ have been installed.

The second phase of Dream Island is opening in 2020, with ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘World of Dinosaurs’, and ‘Buratino’ zones.
