DXB Entertainments confirms Dubai Parks and Resorts 33% growth in visits in the first nine months of 2018

Dubai Parks and Resorts, the Middle East’s mega-theme park project attracted almost 2 million visitors in the first 9 months of 2018.

Owner DXB Entertainments PJSC confirmed the increase represented a 33% growth in attendance in comparison to the same period last year.The company has also seen the occupancy of its Lapita Hotel grow to 59% (30% last year).

He said: “We are pleased to progress according to our strategic plan and to deliver growth in visitor numbers, as Dubai Parks and Resorts continues to establish itself as a leading leisure and entertainment destination for the region.

“The first nine months of the year delivered a 33% increase in visits compared to last year. This was despite the seasonal slowdown of the third quarter. The Lapita Hotel average occupancy has seen a steady increase this year reaching 59% in the first nine months, compared to 30% last year. As we head into our peak fourth quarter we are optimistic that we will continue on this growth trajectory.”

DXB Entertainments confirms steady growth

DXB Entertainments PJSC revealed that Dubai Parks and Resorts attracted more than 1.96 million visitors in the first nine months of 2018.

This followed steady growth over the past three quarters. In Q3 2018, Dubai Parks and Resorts recorded over 501 thousand visits. This compared favourably to 479 thousand in the same period last year. August also saw an increase in visits as the parks benefited from the Eid holidays. September saw an anticipated slow down as the new school year started. Q3 2018 visits are currently in line with, and reflect, the expected impact of seasonality.

The Lapita Hotel average occupancy rose to 59% in the first nine months of the year. Ths was also a promising development over last year.

MOTIONGATE Dubai was recently awarded the best theme park in the UAE at the Time Out Kids Awards 2018. In addition, the LEGOLAND Water Park was awarded the best water park in the UAE .
