Ferrari World Abu Dhabi named ‘World’s Leading Theme Park’ at WTA 2019

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has been named the World’s Leading Theme Park at the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2019. Other winners include Disneyland Paris and Yas Waterworld.

The theme park received the award at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2019, which took place on November 30 at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman.

Disneyland Paris in France also took home the World’s Leading Theme Park Resort 2019 award, while Yas Waterworld in the UAE is the World’s Leading Water Park 2019.

Other winners include Treehotel in Sweden, which becomes the World’s Leading Themed Hotel 2019, and Mercure Danang French Village Bana Hills, Vietnam (World’s Leading Themed Resort 2019).

In addition, The Land Of Legends Kingdom Hotel in Turkey was crowed the World’s Leading Luxury Themed Resort 2019.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, located on Yas Island, will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2020. The theme park is home to 37 rides and attractions.

These include Formula Rossa, the fastest roller coaster in the world, Flying Aces, a dynamic roller coaster featuring one of the world’s tallest loops, and Turbo Track, another coaster.

Ferrari World also boasts family entertainment, cutting-edge simulators and live shows, as well as seasonal parties and events throughout the year.

The World Travel Awards were founded in 1993 in order to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence in all sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.

Graham Cooke, founder of WTA, said: “It has been an honour to bring WTA to Oman for the first time in our 26-year history. What an incredible evening it has been here in the magnificent capital of Muscat.

“We have had the privilege of recognising the world’s leading hotels, destinations, airlines and travel providers and my congratulations to each of them.”
