HOLOGATE, a global leader in turnkey compact multiplayer VR systems, has announced the release of a new virtual reality experience, Das Boot – VR Escape.
Fresh from showcasing its new HOLOGATE BLITZÂ motion platform at IAAPA Expo 2019 in Orlando, HOLOGATE is pleased to announce that a brand new attraction will be rolling out to HOLOGATE ARENA systems across the globe. This new HOLOGATE PLUS game, Das Boot – VR Escape, is an immersive submarine experience and is based on the renowned film and TV series, Das Boot.
In Das Boot – VR Escape, players work as a team in order to take command of a German submarine, on an adventurous mission to intercept allied boats in the Atlantic sea.
Submarine adventure
Teams of four players must battle to save themselves and a fellow German u-boat, as they are ambushed by British destroyers out in the ocean. During this escape room-style experience, they must help to guide their heavily damaged partner boat back to safety, all while avoiding further enemy fire.
There are four different roles available in the game, and players must work together as the Commander, the Watch Officer, Chief Engineer and Helmsman, as their vessel U-612 is under attack. In this co-operative experience, teams will succeed only by coordinating their actions precisely.
Das Boot – VR Escape was produced by the independent production house, remote control productions (rcp) and developed by Aesir Interactive. It is exclusive to HOLOGATE.
HOLOGATE has over 300 locations worldwide and reaches more than five million players each year. It is the largest network of virtual reality multiplayer systems.
The German company produces exclusive virtual reality turnkey systems and games from inception through activation. The founder and CEO of HOLOGATE, Leif Petersen, recently spoke to Blooloop about the company’s origins, as well as its groundbreaking new product, HOLOGATE BLITZ.
