Holovis, a leading experience designer, is continuing to expand its global footprint, with new offices and facilities in the UK, US and Ukraine.
Holovis is pleased to announce that it is growing worldwide, and is opening new offices, mock-up build facilities and dedicated R&D and demonstration spaces around the globe. During the last year, it has expanded its operation in Orlando and established a Software Development Hub in Kyiv. The company is also launching an Innovation Hub and new offices in Manchester.
Global expansion
Holovis now has a 7000sqft warehouse next to its US offices on Exchange Drive in Orlando, Florida. This new space will accommodate project builds and mock-ups, meaning that attractions can be tested before installation. The company already successfully uses this approach in the UK for its clients in the Middle East and China, ensuring that projects run smoothly during the installation process.
Holovis has a growing list of projects and clients in the US and is working with leading theme parks on complex AV design and delivery, advanced engineering and proprietary software development.
The company has also opened a new Development Hub in Kyiv, Ukraine. Here, a highly-specialised local team is working on software creation. Projects include next-generation proprietary platforms and tools that will revolutionise collaboration and connectivity of data, places and people. This has applications in the entertainment, virtual manufacturing, advanced engineering and smart city development sectors.
Holovis in the UK
Holovis has become an anchor partner in The Landing in Media City, a co-working space in Manchester, UK. This is a space for the digital creative sector, supporting start-up businesses and providing collaboration opportunities. The company also offers access to new data capture and interrogation platforms within the Holovis Innovation Hub.
Manchester is a growing technology centre, with more than 10,000 technologists moving to the city from London in 2018. The city’s digital tech turnover rose by over 4% to £3.2bn last year.
Stuart Hetherington, CEO of Holovis says: “This is a very exciting time, the scope and scale of work we are winning and delivering is growing significantly in all territories, something that we feel is reflected by the current buoyancy of the industry.
“We are continuing to expand and recruit on a global basis for our UK, Orlando, Ukraine and China offices, as we continue to push the boundaries of themed entertainment with world-first solutions and applications of emerging technologies.”
Earlier this year, Holovis unveiled its new Innovation and Demonstration Center in Shanghai, with partner KingJoy. This five-floor complex highlights the company’s emerging technologies and immersive environments. Located in the heart of Shanghai, it includes offices, innovation labs and development spaces.
