HBO is teaming with creative agency Giant Spoon to create an immersive, location-based Westworld experience at South by Southwest Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.

An entire Westworld town is being constructed by HBO outside of Austin. It will feature locations and elements from the show such as The Coronado and the Mariposa Saloon. Guests can register for an “appointment” at DiscoverWestworld.com.

When you go to the website to register, the introduction states: “Experience the first vacation destination where you can live without limits. Westworld is a meticulously crafted and artfully designed park offering an unparalleled, immersive world where you have the freedom to become who you’ve always wanted to be – or who you never knew you were. Exist free of rules, laws or judgment. No impulse is taboo.”

The park will feature actors playing “hosts” acting out a range of “scenarios” for guests to participate in. Guests can also question the hosts about what is to come in the new season of the TV show and clues will be hidden in various locations.

According to an HBO press release, certain clues can only be discovered by “asking the right questions of specific hosts”.

The experience will last two hours. Guests are to meet at Austin’s EastSide Tavern to board a shuttle to the experience.

“Upon arrival, guests will be assigned a black hat or white hat and set loose to explore the park. No guidebook. No orientation,” the release states.

HBO has also partnered Lyft and Delta Airlines to provide more Westworld experiences for SXSW attendees. If fans unlock a secret code they can ride in a Westworld-themed Lyft while Delta will give festival-goers travelling to Austin from Los Angeles an immersive Westworld-inspired flight.
