Katapult 18th birthday

Katapult, the international guest experience design agency, has announced it is celebrating its 18th birthday. The UK-based company is proud to have been part of the themed attractions industry for the last 18 years.

Katapult 18th birthdayKatapult was founded 18 years ago by Dawn Foote and Phil Higgins. The company now employs a team of 17 staff, with deep industry specialisms.

“We are really proud to reach our 18th year, and have enjoyed the journey,” says Foote, Co-founder and CEO, “We never stand still and over the last 3 years we have really refined the focus of Katapult, grown our team, extended our specialist skills and within the last year alone have worked on international projects for brands such as LEGO, Cartoon Network and National Geographic”

Looking forward to the future

Higgins, Co-founder and CCO explains Katapult’s future plans, “We are totally focussed on themed and location-based attractions. As well as delivering some exciting projects like the new Cartoon Network/Future Kid Family Entertainment Centre in Kuwait, we will be building on our relationships, creativity and experience to bring even more exciting attractions to life. We are all passionate about this industry, we immerse ourselves in the IPs we work with, we visit parks, we take part in our industry and we always put the guest experience first. Here’s to the next 18 years!”

Katapult hosted its annual away day at Drayton Manor Theme Park and the team enjoyed a few hours of fun in the park to celebrate a very happy 18th birthday.

The company also recently announced that it is working with the UK’s Museum of East Anglian Life to help it create a new guest experience. The museum was the 2019 winner of Katapult’s Helping Hands Project and received up to £10,000 in design support. It plans to use this to transform itself into the National Museum of Food.
