Perfect for planetariums, science centres and entertainment applications, Kraftwerk Living Technologies has developed a spherical LED solution.
The Austrian AV system integrator says it had been exploring the use of LED display technology in dome applications for some time. With this new technology, developed internally under the name Projekt KVS, it believes it has rounded out its product portfolio.
Initially, the available pixel pitches will be 2.7 and 4mm, with total resolutions of up to 12 x 12K pixels. An array of dome sizes and shapes are available and can range from smaller applications through to large domes including flying theatres.
Kraftwerk LT already provides complex and high-performance LED display systems. Its system integration experience and knowledge of control systems, playback and signal processing give it scope to provide dome technology as a turnkey solution to an extensive group of clients – from industry to entertainment and the cultural sector. In doing so, it wants to become a leader in hybrid dome solutions and multi-functional planetarium spaces.
