Merlin continues to add themed accommodation to its portfolio, announcing the opening of Gardaland Magic Hotel, its third themed hotel at Gardaland Resort.
Gardaland Magic Hotel has 128 themed rooms, featuring three different settings – Enchanted Forest, Magic Ice Castle and Great Wizard.
All rooms have a double bed and two single beds, designed for the whole family.
Gardaland Magic Hotel is Merlin’s 20th hotel and brings the total number of rooms to approximately 4,500. Gardaland Resort now has a 475 rooms across its three hotels.
“The opening of Gardaland Magic Hotel will significantly increase the Resort’s capacity to offer a unique tourist destination for families, both at national and European level,” said Aldo Vigevani, Divisional Director, Gardaland.
“We are delighted to be able to give families another opportunity to fully enjoy the numerous memorable experiences offered by Gardaland and see lots of exciting developments still to come.”
Magic Ice Castle
This development at Gardaland Resort, which is located close to Lake Garda in Northern Italy, is in line with Merlin’s strategy of investing in themed accommodation at its resorts to meet the increasing demand for shorter, more experience-driven holidays.
Expanding the accommodation offering extends the amount of time visitors spend at an attraction, improves guest satisfaction and increases pre-booking.
Enchanted Forest
“The addition of the Gardaland Magic Hotel to our accommodation portfolio at Gardaland Resort continues the park’s transformation into a tourist destination for multiple-day stays where guests can fully enjoy the numerous and memorable experiences offered by Gardaland,” said Ian Crabbe, Managing Director, Resort Theme Parks.
“On the strength of the results achieved by the Resort last year, we expect the introduction of the Gardaland Magic Hotel to extend the appeal of Italy’s largest theme park resort.”
