OpenAire, leading providers of retractable roofs and sunlights, is eagerly awaiting the opening of waterpark Epic Waters in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The indoor park covers 62,000 square feet. It will be the largest indoor waterpark under a single custom curved retractable roof in the USA. It will allow for year-round operations.

OpenAire designed and installed 40 polycarbonate retractable roof panels for the project, 4 on the slide tower, 36 on the main roof. This allows the operator to open the panels, letting in the sun and fresh air. It can also automatically close at the first sign of rain or cold to maintain the ideal aquatic environment.

The roof was opened for the first time in October. This was at a media preview event by Grand Prairie Mayor Ron Jensen.

Epic Waters has yet to confirm an opening date to the public but it is expected to be very soon.
