Polin Aquariums has announced a new collaboration with VGP Marine Kingdom, to create India’s first public aquarium.

Mr. Ayhan Şentürk, vice-president of Polin Aquariums and Mr. V.G.P Ravidas, IAAPA board member and president of VGP Marine Kingdom signed the agreement at the IAAPA expo.

Polin aquariums are to install acrylic panels and life support systems for the tunnel aquarium project. Set in the VGP World Theme Park in Chennai, VGP Marine Kingdom will include exhibits, educational facilities and a restaurant.

The development is intended to be the first of many commercial aquariums in India.

The 7,500 sqm, 4,000,000l  aquarium will include five concept zones over three levels, with a 48m tunnel and more than 30 display tanks.

Polin Aquariums designs and builds public aquariums, taking projects from an initial concept through to construction, business plan, procurement of living creatures and development of brand identity.

The company, best known in the attractions industry for its waterpark work, has completed 11 aquarium projects totaling more than 33,000,000l of water and welcoming over 16 million visitors by the end of 2018.
