Leading flying theatre and simulator ride supplier, Simtec Systems, follows a successful China Attractions Expo (CAE) with news of production facility expansion plans.
The company completed a new annex to its former office building in Braunschweig, Germany, earlier this year. This has nearly doubled capacity, giving Simtec room for future growth from 60 staff to around 100.
The next big project is the new production facility. Dubbed the Simtec Manufactory, it is expected to be completed by the end of the year and features 5,500m² of assembly and test space.
Simtec teams up with Middle East Event Network (MEEN)
Committed to expanding its footprint in the Middle East, Simtec has formed a new partnership with Middle East Event Network (MEEN). The contract was signed in March 2018 by Andreas Stickel, Director Business Development, Bernd Kaufmann, CEO and Founder of Simtec Systems and Holger Walter, CEO and Founder of MEEN.
Simtec specialises in flying theatres, dark rides and simulator attractions. Among them is the HEXaFLITE® Flying Theater Ride. The company describes it as a ‘new generation of flying theater indoor simulator attractions’. China has been quick to see its benefits, with six HEXaFLITE®72 systems and one HEXaFLITE®16 system already in operation in the country. The turnkey solution can be customised to feature 16, 40, 72 and 80 seats and a wide variety of special effects.
