Simtec Systems, a leader in motion simulation, presented its new HEXaFLITE 2.0 flying theatre concept at IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
Simtec Systems is pleased to have announced its latest product at IAAPA Expo 2019, which took place in Orlando, Florida, last week. During a press conference in front of media and guests, Bernd Kaufmann, CEO, presented the new HEXaFLITE 2.0 flying theatre concept.
After delivering over 15 successful installations of the original HEXaFLITE system around the world, the company took up the challenge of designing a newer version, incorporating the latest technology.
New experiences
HEXaFLITE 2,0 includes new technology that has been proven successful in recent years, such as six Degrees of Freedom (DOF). The new state-of-the-art flying theatre provides guests with new experiences to make the flight memorable and exciting.
The system design means that the 6-DOF motion and tilting of the seats is able to begin while the guest platform is still in the loading position. It also offers the option of an extended screen in the ceiling, meaning than guests feel as if they are looking into the sky.
HEXaFLITE 2.0 offers full-motion with 6-DOF in any tilting position. This begins in the loading position and continues into the show position, meaning that more experiences can be offered.
The new flying theatre concept is available in sizes from 20 to 80 seats. In addition to this, visitors in all seats will have an enhanced experience, thanks to individual integrated special effects.
The HEXaFLITE 2.0 flying theatre adds to Simtec Systems’ range of products, which also includes the original HEXaFLITE flying theatre as well as dark rides, simulator cinemas and FUNRIDE entertainment simulators.
Earlier this year, the company announced a new FUNRIDE 30 simulator, developed for a client in Qatar. This has a closed cabin for 30 seated visitors situated on a Simtec motion system, and provides a 6-DOF hydraulic motion system alongside 3D projection visuals and wind, spray and scent special effects.
