Ropes Courses Inc. installs first 220-degree Sky Rail zip line

Leading adventure attraction specialist, Ropes Courses Inc., has installed its first 220-degree Sky Rail™ zip line.

Ropes Courses Inc. installs first 220-degree Sky Rail™ zip lineAt 200 feet in length, the Sky Rail at Wilson’s Lifestyle Centre in Saskatoon, Canada, is the longest example of its kind.

The retailtainment adventure offering has been designed to attract customers to the centre which currently sells plants, furniture, pet supplies, outdoor accessories and more.

“It’s exciting to work with customers on new and interesting ways to not only showcase their facility, but also bring to light how much fun our amusement attractions can be,” comments Caitlin McMahan, R&D Engineer at Ropes Courses, Inc.

Riders feel like they’re zipping through the jungle

The Sky Rail zip line has been incorporated into a custom 5 pole Sky Trail® Navigator ropes course featuring 13 rope and plumber elements on 2 levels. It occupies an area of the centre known as the Tropical House. The 45-foot high atrium is home to a collection of huge palm trees as well as other tropical plants. The lush setting serves to give Sky Rail users the impression that they are zipping through the jungle.

The course and zip line have been themed to echo the colour palette at the Lifestyle Centre and feature vibrant purple fire, sprout green and mandarin orange. Other attractions in the Tropical House include a Velocity Raceway which allows customers to race around a multi-level go-kart track in electric cars.

Wilson’s Lifestyle Centre opened in August this year and will be the only location in Saskatoon to showcase this kind of Ropes Courses, Inc. attraction.

“We are thrilled to boast the world’s first Sky Rail that curves around the room,” confirms Steve Wilson, President of Wilson’s Greenhouse and Wilson’s Lifestyle Centre. “Our new centre has something for everyone.”

The Sky Trail® and Sky Rail™ combo is slated to open to the public on September 28, 2017.
