New concept art for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort’s Epic Universe has emerged online, providing a look at the potential Donkey Kong attractions and rides planned.

Super Nintendo World is opening in 2020 at Universal Studios Japan, with more Nintendo attractions in the pipeline for Florida and California.

Earlier this year, scale model photos of Super Nintendo World leaked online, suggesting the expansions could include Donkey Kong Country areas.

The new images come via Orlando ParkStop’s Alicia Stella, who has seemingly discovered an artist’s rendering of the rumoured Donkey Kong area.

“Concept art for Donkey Kong at Super Nintendo World has been shared on the artist’s portfolio site,” Stella wrote on Twitter.

“The first images are for the left and right sides of the land, second set is main ride entrance through temple. Originally designed for USF, land now set to open at Epic Universe.”

According to Orlando Business Journal, the images seem to belong to Richard Gutierrez, who says he has done work for Disney and Universal.

The pictures provide an idea of how the Donkey Kong attraction may look, and also include a sketch of the ‘blast barrel’, which may be a ride component.

Super Nintendo World is set to open as part of Universal’s Epic Universe in 2023. Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park will have  “beloved stories” within “vibrant lands”.

As well as Super Nintendo World, the attraction is tipped to feature rides and attractions based on How to Train Your Dragon, The Secret Life of Pets, and Harry Potter.

Earlier this year, construction images of Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan were unveiled on Twitter.

Japan’s Super Nintendo World will feature state-of-the-art rides, immersive attractions, shopping and F&B – all based on Nintendo’s most popular characters and games.

The photos were posted to Twitter by ‘USJ情報局 L.C.A.STUDIOS’, who has shared new construction pictures.

“The scenery of SUPER NINTENDO WORLD viewed from various places,” the account wrote, noting the date as November 2, 2019.
