The Haunted Attraction Association (HAA) has named the top 34 haunted attractions in the US, just in time for Halloween. HAA is the only official association in the haunt industry.

HAA serves as the voice of the haunted attraction industry. Its mission is to protect customers, promote haunted attractions, and educate industry experts.

In order to be designated on HAA’s list, spooky attractions must be recognised as a member of HAA and meet certain criteria.

Halloween festivals, haunted houses, haunted hayrides, scream parks, mega-haunts, haunted outdoor trails, corn mazes, and Halloween events at theme parks all count as haunted attractions.

Included in the top haunted attractions are 13 Floor Haunted House in Denver and Columbus, Shocktoberfest in Sinking Spring, and Haunted Hotel KY in Louisville.

“The most important aspect of our jobs is prioritizing visitor safety,” said HAA president Brett Molitor.

“The certification rewards those attractions that have been in operation for at least 10 years and are not only leaders in delivering some of the best attractions in the business, but also in setting the bar high for best practices in safety.”
