Triotech, the award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced the launch of an XD Dark Ride interactive theatre in Granby Zoo, Canada.

Triotech is proud to have set up another XD Dark Ride interactive theatre, following the successful launch of the 200th XD Dark Ride interactive theatre at the Méga Parc des Galeries de la Capitale, in Quebec. The new attraction is located in Granby Zoo in Quebec, a much-loved destination which currently operates 11 rides. The ‘7D theatre’ is already proving to be one of the most popular attractions at the zoo.

“The XD Dark Ride interactive theatre was designed in Quebec for the whole family,” says Christian Martin, Triotech’s Vice-President of Marketing. “It’s one of our signature attractions, contributing for nearly eight years to our international reach.”

An award-winning attraction

Triotech’s XD Dark Ride interactive theatre is a winner of the renowned IAAPA Brass Ring award, in the “Best New Product” category. It allows eight people to play and enjoy a multisensory adventure simultaneously. The experience is enhanced with innovative technology and special effects.

“We are proud to continue working with Triotech,” says Samuel Grenier, Granby Zoo’s Director of Operations. “In 2012, we set up a 16-seat immersive XD theatre without interactivity that was very popular with visitors. With the 7D theatre, we wanted to provide our customers with an unparalleled immersive experience that is already a resounding success all around the world.”

This new XD Dark Ride theatre at Granby zoo features ‘Carnival’ – the latest film by Triotech. In this nightmare adventure, players find themselves trapped in a run-down amusement park, while a disturbed clown seeks revenge. In order to escape, they must face giant heads and scary automatons.

The Triotech team is expanding, with the recent appointment of Salim Sabbagha as Director of Sales for Latin America, and Eric Beauregard to the position of Vice-President of global sales.
