Virtuix, developer of the Omni virtual reality treadmill and Omni Arena esports attraction, has delivered a new Omni Arena attraction to EVO Entertainment’s cinema complex in Schertz, Texas.
Virtuix is pleased to announce that the Omni Arena virtual reality esports attraction is now available to visitors at EVO Entertainment Group’s movie theatre complex in Schertz, Texas. This is the first installation of the innovative attraction in a theatre venue.
EVO Entertainment Group operates six cinema complexes across Texas, three of which also include fun activities such as bowling and games, as well as dining options. Visitors to its Schertz location can now enjoy an immersive VR experience provided by the Omni Arena.
An anchor attraction
“Omni Arena is a perfect addition to the entertainment experience at EVO,” says Mitch Roberts, Co-founder and CEO of EVO Entertainment Group. “The unit has a modern, beautiful aesthetic that aligns with our brand image very well and offers an incredible, unmatched virtual reality experience for our guests.”
“This is our first installation at a movie theatre complex,” says Jan Goetgeluk, founder and CEO of Virtuix. “Omni Arena is an anchor attraction that draws in a new audience who may not be visiting the venue today. We are excited to partner with EVO and bring the Omni Arena esports contests to their customers.”
Omni Arena is a full-body VR attraction that allows up to four players to run around and compete inside video games, such as the company’s latest release, Elite Force, a Call of Duty-style military shooter.
Players can even compete for top spots on leaderboards and win a share of the $100,000 esports prize pool sponsored by Virtuix and HP.
Virtuix is celebrating its most successful IAAPA Expo ever. The company’s booth was packed with visitors during the show and the team sold almost 40 units of its popular Omni Arena VR attraction.
