Developed by PROFIT and published in a special edition of Canadian Business, the list ranks Canadian companies on five-year revenue growth.

“The companies on the 2018 Growth 500 are truly remarkable,” states Deborah Aarts, Growth 500 program manager. “Demonstrating foresight, innovation and smart management, their stories serve as a primer for how to build a successful entrepreneurial business today.“

Vortex has been riding a wave of success since 2015, when it reported a remarkable 84% growth. Over the past five years the upward trend has continued, with revenue growing by 257%. Demand for its products and services has been increasingly buoyant in cruise ships, camping, resorts and amusement parks.

The company attributes this success to continued investment in innovative products, design services  and infrastructure in order to create customer value.

‘A true testament to our employees’ and partners’ dedication’

It has also invested in local sales and service offices, as well as local account management personnel, which it says ensures that new innovations are ‘well communicated, understood and deployed’.

Vortex continues to innovate, with industry awards coming thick and fast. The company has won two International Design Awards and three Most Valuable Product awards as voted by Aquatics International’s readers. Products recognised include the PrecisionRide waterslide series in 2018, Water Journey in 2016 and Watermark in 2015.
