Waterplay Solutions appoints VP of Strategic Growth and Customer Experience, Kerrin Smith

The Canadian company Waterplay Solutions has welcomed Kerrin Smith as its vice-president of Strategic Growth and Customer Experience. His appointment comes as existing team member Lisa Neilson gets a new role as vice-president of Corporate Services.

Smith’s previous experience includes working for both a household name, DuPont, and also the outdoor play equipment manufacturer Kompan. At the latter, he grew business by more than 300% within a seven-year period. In line with Kompan’s growth, he also expanded the company’s talent base by over 250%.

At Waterplay, Smith will become a crucial member of the management team. Building on its strategic plan, he will be responsible for the firm’s global sales and support customer experience programmes in his role.

“Throughout Kerrin’s career he’s proven he can drive business through outstanding team leadership and shows a keen interest in the customer which aligns with our business model of being a people first organisation,” says Waterplay’s president, Jill White.

New role for Lisa Neilson

Lisa Neilson, meanwhile, has been with Waterplay for almost 12 years. In her new role within Corporate Services, she will continue to provide strategic leadership to the organisation as well as drive its development.

“Lisa has been instrumental in driving forward the Waterplay that everyone sees today,” says White. “I’m very happy to see Lisa move into a role that will allow her more time to drive the company’s vision forward.”

With offices in Canada and Australia, Waterplay boasts over 30 years’ experience in the aquatic recreation industry. The company’s product portfolio includes freestanding water play features and activity towers. Its customers include hotels, resorts, waterparks, holiday parks, community spaces and other aquatic facilities.
