Wet’n’Wild Haikou, China’s first water park by Village Roadshow Theme Parks (VRTP), has opened in Hainan.
The Australian theme park operator partnered with Guangxi Investment Group and Mission Hills Group to created the new attraction.
Situated close to luxury tourist accommodation including the Ritz-Carlton Haikou and the Renaissance Haikou Hotel, Wet’n’Wild Haikou features 30 iconic slides, pools and attractions.
Aimed at all age groups, visitors will find everything from adrenaline-pumping thrill rides to the relaxing, family-friendly Wild Water Bay. There’s also a huge Wave Pool, as well as a large digital screen providing all day entertainment.
“Wet’n’Wild Haikou will provide Hainan holiday makers and locals with a truly international water park experience that will transport them into a never-before-seen world of wild water adventures,” stated the water park’s General Manager, Lee Carter.
“The park stretches over 50,000 sq metres of land and offers a range of iconic slides and attractions for the whole family including the Vortex, the Half-Pipe, Water Rockets, 360 Rush, Super 8 Aqua Racer, Wet’n’Wild junior and many more.”

The park is located in Mission Hills Centreville Haikou, Hainan’s 240,000 square-metre retail, dining and entertainment precinct.
