WhiteWater awards

WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, has announced that it has won multiple European Star Awards, including two for Europe’s Best Family Water Slides (2019) and one for Europe’s Best Thrill Water Slides.

WhiteWater is pleased to announce a successful run at the European Star Awards, an annual celebration conducted by the trade magazine Kirmes & Park Revue. The purpose of the European Star Awards is to showcase new ideas and innovative thinking within the European attractions industry.

Grant Poje, WhiteWater’s Executive Vice President of Europe, Russia, and Africa says, “We’re very excited to have been awarded 3 European Star Awards this year for thrilling slides that we’ve installed across Europe. We would like to thank our partners and clients for their vision, and for trusting WhiteWater to create the best slides and most memorable experiences for their guests.”

Discover Batman

The Discover Batman slide tower is a visitor favourite at Parque Warner Beach in Spain. Now it has crowned Europe’s Best Family Water Slides. This attraction features three slides. The first is called Batman and is a black and yellow fusion combination of two of WhiteWater’s most popular slides, an AquaSphere and a Rattler. The next is The Joker, which is a sawtoothed, purple and green Super Bowl. And finally, there is an Open and Enclosed serpentine slide, titled Harley Quinn.

For added excitement, the slides have several dark moments, with pitch-black corners evoking the dark atmosphere from the fan-favourite Hollywood franchise. Discover Batman also has many special effects, created by Techni-lux in Florida. These include light and sound effects, “Bat-signals” and LED effects throughout the slides.

Family fun

Two WhiteWater rides have made it onto the list of Europe’s Best Family Water Slides. In fifth place is Houla Hoop at Aquaparc Le Bouveret, a 170 metres long Constrictor + Rattler Fusion. Houla Hoop has consistently been rated as one of the best family water rides in Europe since it opened in 2014. Riders can enjoy heading down a tunnel and into a tight, 360-degree spiral, before finishing in a giant Rattler cone.

The Manta at Akvamir, (AquaWorld in English) in Novosibirsk, Russia came in at tenth place for Europe’s Best Thrill Water Slide. The slide, installed in 2016, is Europe’s first Manta. It boasts a total ride length of 138.5 metres, along with a zero-gravity apex and thrilling drop.

WhiteWater is pleased to have worked with all these parks and praises their dedication to providing the most thrilling, fun, and safe rides to all their guests.

The company also recently announced the release of the Splash Factor Report, based on a survey of over 100 parks across the world. This provides readers with an in-depth understanding of emerging trends in the water ride market.
