Located in Tynong, Victoria, the Australian animal attraction Gumbuya Park is set for a multi-million dollar makeover. A bush resort and waterpark are featured as part of the AUS$50m ($37.7m/€33.7m) plans.
Park director Ron Weinzierl promises a “world-class” transformation as the venue is relaunched as Gumbuya World. “We want to keep the wildlife that everyone knows, and make sure that’s a big driver,” he says.
The revamp will even include a helipad for high-rolling tourists. At present, in addition to its animal inhabitants, the park also includes a handful of rides, paddle karts and a children’s playground.
