Bandai Namco, a leader in indoor amusement park and family entertainment centres (FEC), has launched the biggest indoor amusement park in Mumbai.

It is Bandai Namco’s second centre in Mumbai and is located at Seawoods Grand Central Mall, Navi Mumbai. The first is located at Oberoi Mall.

Namco Seawoods Grand Central covers an area of 28,782 square feet, making it the largest indoor amusement park in the Mumbai region.

The destination features amusement game machines, go-karting, carnival games for children and special attractions for teenagers and adults.

These include digital squash, trampolines, basketball, bowling, and virtual reality (VR) driving. It also boasts the family play area ‘KIDS World’.

According to Shuichi Kikuchi, president and CEO, Bandai Namco India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai is “a vast market” with customers looking for “sophisticated indoor amusement parks that can give them novelty and engagement”.

Kikuchi added that Bandai Namco is looking forward to opening more similar indoor amusement parks “in other Indian cities in the near future”.

Takeo Yagi, director and COO, Bandai Namco India Pvt Ltd, said: “Mumbai welcomed us with open arms in October 2015 when we opened our first center.

“We envisaged a much bigger and state-of-the-art indoor amusement park for our second center. The strategically located Seawoods Grand Central was the perfect choice due to its accessibility and popularity among residents around Navi Mumbai.”

Last year, Bandai Namco unveiled Mazaria, a new VR theme park based on video games and anime, located at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
