Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Accelerator, powered by Techstars, is now accepting applications for the next programme, which is looking for startups working on breakthroughs in connectivity, media and entertainment.

The focus of the third accelerator programme is on companies developing the next generation of connectivity, media and entertainment technologies.

Startups can apply now through April 5, with this year’s programme starting on July 13 at the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia.

The accelerator gives startups access to Comcast, NBCUniversal and Skyā€™s network of partners, brands and mentors.

Sam Schwartz, chief business development officer, said the accelerator gives startups “an exclusive opportunity to collaborate with mentors from across Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky through a variety of workshops, training sessions, and personalized business development plans”.

ā€œIn just two years, the program has produced phenomenal alumni companies who have gone on to secure pilot programs and venture capital funding, while building their independent businesses,” added Schwartz.

“Entrepreneurialism and innovation are embedded in what we do at Comcast NBCUniversal, and we are excited to discover this yearā€™s class of founders.ā€

Focus areas for 2020 include advanced connectivity, future of work, interactive and immersive experiences, and personalised experiences.
