Featuring a new coaster, Lego Mythica is due to open at the start of the 2023 season.

Lego Mythica is coming to Legoland Deutschland in 2023. The 1.2-hectare land is the park’s largest expansion and biggest investment to date.

Featuring a new roller coaster, Lego Mythica is due to open at the beginning of the 2023 season. Visitors will enjoy a magical world filled with mythical creatures created using thousands of Lego bricks.

“Lego Mythica marks the arrival of a completely new themed world in our park,” said Manuela Stone, Legoland divisional director.

“We can now give our guests a themed area that also stimulates creativity and imagination, where there are no set rules and standards.”

The new coaster will surround the themed area and is unique to Legoland Deutschland. The land will also offer a playground and a ride for younger visitors.

“Mythica stands symbolic for a world in which the creatures created in the children’s room at home come to life,” Stone said.

“Some of these fantasy animals also arrive at the new Legoland themed area as breathtaking, life-size Lego models. Flying lions, one-eyed trolls, dogs with peacock feathers, colourful unicorns and many more creatures live here.”

“Visitors can seriously start getting excited about how cool and colourful Lego Mythica is going to be,” she added.

Legoland Windsor was the first Legoland park to open a Lego Mythica land in 2021. The immersive attraction is home to rides, attractions and experiences, including the UK’s first flying theatre ride.

The theme park opened a new walk-through experience called ‘The Magical Forest’ at Lego Mythica in April 2022. It also launched the first-ever Lego playset based on a Legoland IP to celebrate the land’s first birthday.

Merlin Entertainments recently announced plans for a new Legoland Resort in Belgium. The attraction in Charleroi would open by 2027. Construction would cost between €370 and €400 million.
