Marvel Studios and ILMxLAB have announced Avengers: Damage Control, an immersive and multi-sensory virtual reality (VR) experience, coming to The VOID.

Avengers: Damage Control will take fans inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the first time, where they’ll be enlisted by Shuri (Letitia Wright).

Guests will find themselves at Wakandan Outreach Centers, where they’ll testĀ Shuri’s latest prototype design, Emergency Response Suits, created with both Wakandan and Stark Industries technology.

They will also get the chance to explore iconic MCU locations and fight alongside Avengers, including Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly).

“Weā€™re always looking for new stories and corners of the universe for our characters to explore,” said Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios.

“Now, after more than a decade of amazing support, we are excited to give fans the same opportunity: to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Expanding how people can experience the MCU is something weā€™re always trying to do, and in Avengers: Damage Control, we wanted to give fans the chance to suit up alongside some their favourite heroes for the first time ever.”

The immersive Avengers: Damage Control experience uses VR, real-world sets and physical effects like heat and wind.

Avengers: Damage Control will be at multiple locations of The VOID for a limited run from October 18, including New York City, Atlanta, and Santa Monica.

The multi-sensory experience from Lucasfilmā€™s immersive entertainment studio will also be coming to The VOID at the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim.

“The opportunity to bring such a beloved universe alive through immersive storytelling has been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Shereif Fattouh, Senior Producer, ILMxLAB.

“Avengers: Damage Control lets you feel what itā€™s like to shoot repulsor blasts with your own two hands, suited up in Shuriā€™s latest technology.

“This original adventure allows you to go beyond the screen, and become a character in the story itself.”

Dave Bushore, Executive Producer at Marvel Studios, added: “Weā€™re fans first, and we all have our favorite movie moment, and favorite character.

“But to be able to mark a moment in time where you got to step into the MCU and meet them, interact with them, and come together as a team… itā€™s extraordinarily powerful.

“We hope people have as much fun experiencing Avengers: Damage Control as we did making it.”

Disney is expanding with Marvel attractions at theme parks around the world, including the Avengers Campus and Worldwide Engineering Brigade.
