Contactless Donation Boxes from Gateway Ticketing Systems UK Revolutionise Charity Collections

News

Gateway Ticketing Systems UK is set to transform charity collections in the Arts & Heritage sector with contactless donation boxes.

Launching April 2016, charitable attractions will now be able to collect donations using contactless card payment technology.

Commenting on the announcement, Andy Povey, Business Development Director at Gateway Ticketing Systems UK, said, “With contactless payments becoming more common across all sectors, we feel the time is right to tap into this new technology for the Arts & Heritage market. In 2014 we saw cash transaction drop below 50% of all transactions, this continues to fall as contactless uptake increases. Adapting to changing customer needs is vital for the continuing success of all charities, arguably more so for attractions where the potential donor may not be able to choose to donate at a later date.”

The contactless donation boxes include industry-leading, secure payment technology, proven by Cancer Research UK.

The boxes, which can be custom branded, are compact in size and suitable for any location at any venue.  They can be placed wherever the visitor is most emotionally engaged: on a front desk, next to a specific exhibition space or individual exhibit or even embedded into an existing donations box.

The contactless donation box is the ideal way to boost fundraising revenue and is aimed at those people for whom cash is a thing of the past.
