Attractions News: Blooloop Facts Round Up February 2011

February 12th – Japan: Revenues at leisure and theme parks rose 5.5% in 2010, according to preliminary data by METI . 

February 13thHong Kong Disneyland can accommodate up to 36, 000 visitors a day and still comply with government safety rules.  

February 14th – For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2010, Universal Orlando reported a 20 % increase in attendance, to 11.2 million.  Source: UCDP

February 9th  – The Toronto Zoo drew 1, 308, 788 visitors in 2010, compared to 1, 459, 574 in 2009.

February 9th Oregon Zoo, FY 2010 — Total Admission: 1, 634, 978 (Paid: 719, 307, Members: 751, 087 and Free: 165, 584)

February 9thVisitor surveys indicate nearly one in four visitors to Oregon Zoo hails from out of state. 

February 19th – On average the Honolulu Zoo welcomes 600, 000 visitors a year … 55% are Hawaii residents and 45% from out of state.

February 20th – Admissions comprised 46% of Support and Revenues for Monterey Bay Aquarium during 2009.
