KMIT Solutions donate toys COVID

KMIT Solutions, a leading provider of software for cultural and amusement attractions worldwide, is working to help frontline workers during the coronavirus pandemic with its parent company Wild Republic, as well as offering solutions for attractions.

KMIT Software Solutions is pleased to present some initiatives that it has been working on in order to help frontline workers in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. The company also offers a time and capacity-based admission module to help attractions reopen safely following the outbreak.

Along with its parent company, Wild Republic, KMIT Solutions is upholding its Promise to the Planet, Promise to the People, and Promise to our Partners campaigns.

Wild Republic is a global leader in designing and manufacturing realistic animal plush and toys, founded by G.B. Pillai on the principle of fostering the curiosity of wildlife and the wonders of nature. During these unprecedented times, the company is practising agility and rising to the requests of its customers, as their situation changes and challenges grow.

Promise to the People

For its Promise to the People initiative during the pandemic, Wild Republic and KMIT employees came to the table with many suggestions of ways to help front line workers, both locally and globally. The teams brainstormed to make these suggestions a reality and below is a snapshot of their activities to date:

  • Delivered masks to Cleveland Clinic, and many other hospitals around the globe using donations from its supply chain.
  • Sent surprise thank you boxes of toys to first responders at hospitals and grocery stores globally.
  • Provided plush animals to the Humane Society of Summit County to assist in a fund-raising campaign.

The Promise to our Partners initiative began forty years ago when Pillai, during a sales call to a zoo, learned they needed an animal feeding schedule.  He responded by developing what is today KMIT Software Solutions.  With its software FocusPoint360, KMIT works with cultural and amusement attractions to improve their daily business operations.

Helping partners reopen

To help its partners reopen, KMIT Software Solutions offers a time and capacity-based admission module that enables venues to open their doors by providing:

  • Contact-free ticket sales
  • Adherence to state and federal mandates for social distancing
  • Capacity management
  • The ability to limit crowd size
  • The opportunity to plan resources and time to disinfect appropriately
  • Real-time report tracking of attendance to allow for adjustment to capacity
  • The ability to accept donations and increase revenue using a Roundup feature

KMIT Solutions’ commitment to its customers enables their path to Rapid Recovery while helping build trust between the venue and its guests. This ensures that guests keep coming back to make lasting memories.

To aid with funding this program KMIT is offering a buy now, pay in 2021 option. In addition to the capacity-based admission module, KMIT is also offering the following modules:

  • Admission- General and Attraction based
  • Membership – Various levels
  • Education – Camps, Classes
  • Group Sales – Field Trips
  • Retail
  • Food and Beverage

To further help its partners, the company has fast-tracked a line of fun face masks with animal and nature themes. Many locations will require guests to wear masks and are wanting to offer fun designs, so KMIT worked to get these to market as quickly as possible.

Promise to the Planet

Wild Republic’s Promise to the Planet began many years ago when it switched to post-consumer materials for the packaging of its toys while printing the packages and all hang tags in natural soy ink.  Today, it has eliminated single-use plastic from most all our toys.

Wild Republic and KMIT Solutions work to give back and to encourage others to do the same, not only during these times but as a key value of the business. This approach was begun by Pillai and is now continued by his grandson Vishnu Chandran.

Last year, Blooloop spoke to Milwaukee County Zoo to find out how the popular attraction relies on a robust software solution, provided by KMIT Solutions.
