Disney100 at Disneyland includes a new attraction and entertainment.

Disneyland Resort has released a guide to the experiences and entertainment on offer for the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary this year.

Kicking off on 27 January, Disney100 at Disneyland includes a new attraction and entertainment, spectacular decorations and special F&B.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Disney’s first ride-through attraction featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, will use a virtual queue when it opens on 27 January.

Guests will need to join a free virtual queue, accessible via the Disneyland app. There will be no standby option for the new attraction, and the virtual queue will open at 7am and 1pm.

The ride is part of Mickey’s Toontown, which will reopen later on 8 March. The reimagined land will provide more play activities and attractions than ever before, and lots of green play spaces.

World of Color – ONE is a new nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure that will celebrate Walt Disney‘s storytelling legacy.

The show’s viewing area can be accessed via the virtual queue system on the Disneyland app from 12pm daily. Joining the virtual queue is not required, but it is recommended.

Every evening at Disneyland park, guests will see the Wondrous Journeys nighttime spectacular, which features lighting effects and projections.

Dazzling décor and new exhibit

Celebrating 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios, the new show will transform Main Street, U.S.A., the Sleeping Beauty Castle, It’s a Small World and the Rivers of America.

The Disney Gallery on Main Street, U.S.A. will be home to a new exhibit with artworks by original Disney animators and Imagineers, an animator’s desk, and a multi-plane camera.

In addition, the entire resort will feature platinum décor, statues, medallions, banners and bunting, and Minnie, Mickey and their friends will be wearing platinum-infused outfits.

Meanwhile, Disney is revising some of the most unpopular policies at its US theme parks.
