Triotech launches Assassin’s Creed: The Temple of Anubis for its VR Maze attraction

Media-based attractions company, Triotech has released a brand new free-roaming virtual reality experience – Assassin’s Creed: The Temple of Anubis – exclusively on VR Maze.

Developed in partnership with Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed: The Temple of Anubis transports players to Ancient Egypt as reimagined in Assassin’s Creed Origins.

“We’re continuing our expansion into other areas of entertainment, leveraging our popular game brands such as Assassin’s Creed to create new experiences for fans and to capture the imagination of new audiences,” states Deborah Papiernik, Senior Vice President, New Business, Ubisoft.

Armed with a virtual bow & arrow, players take on the persona of the hero, Bayek, as they explore a temple and fight enemies.

The sense of immersion is heightened because walls and obstacles of the digital world can be touched in the real world. They dodge enemies’ arrows, walk across shattered wooden planks, and ultimately experience the leap of faith that has become an icon of the blockbuster video game franchise.

Free-roam VR on a small footprint

Despite the free-roam nature of the experience, the VR maze only requires a footprint of 120 square feet. This brings the turnkey attraction within reach of a wide range of family entertainment centres (FECs) and amusement parks.

What’s more, the digital content can easily be refreshed at the touch of a button, making it possible to switch between three different experiences depending on the audience demographic: Assassin’s Creed: The Temple of Anubis, Minotaur and the fun, family-friendly Virtual Rabbids: The Big Maze.

“We are really excited to partner with Ubisoft on the well-known franchise, Assassin’s Creed. Already more than 100,000 people have experienced our VR Maze all over the world, and this next chapter will definitely widen its appeal,” adds Ernest Yale, Founder and CEO of Triotech.

Triotech will be showcasing a VR Maze at this month’s Euro Attractions Show (EAS) in Amsterdam from 25-27 September. Meet the team at Booth #1-611.
