Tiqets How-to-Overcome-Seasonality-in-Tourism

Tiqets, a leading booking partner for museums and attractions, has announced the launch of a new ebook, entitled ‘How to Overcome Seasonality in Tourism’. The free publication explores the issue of seasonality in the tourism industry and looks at ways in which attractions operators can overcome it.

Traditionally, theme parks, museums, zoos and other attractions have always had a ‘dry’ season. However, Tiqets’ new ebook presents six advanced off-season marketing strategies that will help operators to bring in visitors all year round.

Tactical off-season marketing ideas

“If there’s one lesson the travel industry has learned over the last few years, it’s that finding new ways to do things pays off,” says a statement from the company. “With that spirit, we wanted to highlight some tactical off-season marketing ideas to help you bring some balance to visitor numbers all year long”

The free ebook features insights on:

  • How to maximise the potential of regional events and holidays
  • How to reach and engage with new audiences
  • How to attract local visitors in the quieter months
  • How to creatively repurpose a venue in the off-season

Last month, Tiqets announced that it now integrates with the Apple Maps mobile application, meaning that visitors can pre-book entry to attractions while on the move. 3,000 different tourist sites are now available to book directly through the app on mobile and tablet devices, with just a few taps of the screen.

At the end of 2021, the company also presented the winners of the 5th annual Remarkable Venue Awards, celebrating the world’s best attractions and museums. Winners included France’s Musée de l’Orangerie, Milan Cathedral, the Van Gogh Museum in The Netherlands, Spain’s Casa Batlló, The Scotch Whisky Experience in the UK and the National Museum of African American Music in the US.
