Aardman Animations’ Rights and Brand Development division has released a taster of its first ever Shaun the Sheep Family Entertainment Centre ahead of the Euro Attractions Show in Barcelona later this month.
‘Shaun the Sheep Farmyard Fun’ will be a fully integrated FEC experience with over 10 themed activities.
A special Timmy Time area for pre-schoolers is currently also being developed in partnership with the British Council.
This latest initiative by the world famous creators of Wallace and Gromit builds on the success of the first Shaun the Sheep Land attraction which opened in Skånes Djurpark in Sweden this March.
Ngaio Harding-Hill, Development Producer, Aardman Live Events & Themed Attractions, said the resulting jump in visitor numbers at Skånes Djurpark clearly showed how Shaun ‘lends himself to creating an immersive and entertaining experience for families’.
The new FEC concept also includes a number of general facilities, including a café, garden picnic area, special event & birthday rooms, AR enhanced photography plus a retail outlet selling toys, games, clothing and accessories.
“We have worked with our award winning in-house creative talent and experts from the attractions industry to visualise our ambitions for Shaun the Sheep’s first branded indoor entertainment centre, ” added Harding-Hill. “As the brand continues to enjoy amazing success in its performance across Europe, we’re excited by the opportunity to present the concepts to potential attraction partners at this year’s EAS in Barcelona."
