accesso partners with Technovation to support global changemakers

accesso Technology Group plc, a leading technology provider, has entered into a partnership with Technovation, a global tech education nonprofit that empowers children and adults to become more confident leaders, creators and problem-solvers in their communities.

accesso is pleased to announce that it is entering into a multi-faceted, charitable partnership with Technovation. This partnership will support Technovation in its work, helping girls and families learn, dream and build a better future using technology.

The non-profit organisation works with communities across the globe, collaborating with all-girl teams and families to find high-tech solutions to real-world problems. This empowers participants, building their problem-solving and leadership skills.

A charitable contribution

To mark the start of this partnership, accesso has made a festive charitable contribution for its international roster of clients. This will support Technovation as it continues its mission – one that has impacted more than 130,000 young people and parents to-date.

accesso team members can now also benefit from year-round opportunities to use their paid volunteer time off to participate in Technovation’s multi-faceted educational programs. There are plenty of roles available, including serving as contest judges, remote industry experts and in-person mentors.

“Every facet of Technovation’s mission, values and vision inherently aligns with the principles our team at Accesso holds so closely,” says Tara Morandi, accesso Vice President of Marketing. “We’re incredibly excited for the opportunity to partner with such a like-minded organization and are eager to get to work with Technovation’s girls and families to develop sustainable solutions for their communities’ most pressing issues.”

Empowering girls

Technovation runs two foundational programmes, called Technovation Families and Tecnovation Girls. Through these, and together with its participants, it has developed over 7000 solutions for real-world problems.

By taking part in Technovation Girls, teenage girls have the opportunity to work together and build mobile applications, in order to solve real-life issues in their communities. The programme has been running for 10 years and during that time, more than 23,000 girls from over 100 countries have taken apps from concept to launch.

Issues addressed by the scheme include domestic violence, opioid abuse and ecological and environmental threats.

Technovation Families was the first programme run by the organisation. This empowers students and their families to explore core concepts of artificial intelligence, apply high-tech tools to design solutions and enter their ideas into a global pitch competition.

“At Accesso, our commitment to innovation extends far beyond what our team accomplishes on behalf of our clients,” said Paul Noland, accesso CEO. “In partnering with Technovation, we are thrilled to deliver new ways for our team – no matter where they are across the globe – to get involved in a very important cause. We’re looking forward to seeing the tremendous impact this partnership will have on Technovation’s children, young women and families, as well as our Accesso team members.”

Earlier this year, accesso announced that is working with The Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) in Roswell, Georgia, USA, to implement an award-winning and innovative eCommerce ticketing system.
