Tamdeen Group is launching Al Khiran, Kuwait’s first hybrid outlet mall. The leisure and lifestyle destination will be a new retailtainment offering with cutting-edge entertainment and technology experiences.

Kuwait’s leading mixed-use property developer, Tamdeen Group, is launching the hybrid outlet mall through its subsidiary, Tamdeen Pearl.

Al Khiran will feature more than 300 shops, unique dining options, entertainment, large events, exhibitions and recreational leisure experiences.

The mall, located in Sabah Al Ahmad Sea City, covers 350,000 square metres. It will also boast state-of-the-art experiences using technology such as artificial intelligence (AI).

Other attractions include Kuwait’s largest marina with 900 berths, 1.25 kilometres of landscaped park and boardwalk, the water gardens, and an amphitheatre.

Tamdeen Group’s hybrid outlet concept comes as a response to shoppers’ expectations and demands for an all-inclusive experience.

Currently, the south of Kuwait is undergoing rapid infrastructure development and urbanisation, with four major cities nearing completion.

Al Khiran is also adjacent to the Eastern Saudi provinces. For these reasons, the south of Kuwait is an ideal location for the hybrid outlet mall.

Al Khiran Hybrid Outlet Mall’s catchment area has an estimated population of 4 million, with an additional 2.5 million Saudi tourists arriving by road.

Mohammad Jassim Al Marzouq, chairman of Tamdeen Group, said the mall “aims to satisfy a changing customer and growing demand for great value and heightened experiences”.

“Our conviction in this project stems from a thorough understanding of customers’ expectations and behaviours in Kuwait along with a deep-rooted purpose of setting new benchmarks in the country’s retail real-estate industry,” he added.

“Kuwait’s 2035 Vision and, as part of it, the rigorous development in its south have furthered our role in the private sector of strengthening the position of Kuwait as a regional destination for shopping, entertainment and leisure.”
