Angry Birds Universe Edutainment Exhibit to Open at Dubai World Trade Centre

News

Imagine Exhibitions and Rovio Entertainment Ltd. have partnered with Jack Rouse Associates (JRA) to create an educational, interactive travelling exhibition based on the hugely popular Angry Birds app.

In partnership with Live Nation Middle East, “Angry Birds Universe: The Art and Science Behind a Global Phenomenon” will open on 28 July at Modhesh World family edutainment destination at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

“Angry Birds Universe: The Art and Science Behind a Global Phenomenon” is an immersive experience for the whole family, promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) concepts.

The interactive experiences include machine bird launching, i-pad games and lots of creative activities utilising a high tech design studio.

Families can also work together to build and test structures to protect themselves against Angry Birds fired at them by other guests.

The exhibition also features full body experiences, where guests can try out first-hand Angry Bird physics.  In a “be-the-bird” experience, guests whizz along zip lines to try to knock over giant foam structures.  There is also a Laser Maze, a Climbing Wall, a Planetarium and an oversized Sling Shot.

Jukka Koivu, Head of Location Based Entertainment for Rovio Entertainment, said, "The Rovio team is very excited to have our Angry Birds Universe exhibition premiere at Modhesh World in the United Arab Emirates.  The Dubai World Trade Center has an excellent reputation for hosting world class events, which makes it the perfect venue to bring our games, characters, and STEAM educational elements to life for the very first time in the UAE."
