Animax Designs, a specialist in the creation of animatronics and interactive characters, has announced that it has been acquired by Cityneon Holdings.
Animax Designs has announced that it has been acquired by Cityneon Holdings, an existing client. Animax currently builds the dinosaurs in Cityneon’s Jurassic World: The Exhibition touring sets. This agreement will build depth within the Cityneon Group, which provides world-class experiences across the globe.
Chuck Fawcett will continue to serve as President & CEO of Animax, which recently celebrated 30 years in the industry.
Unlocking value for shareholders

The transaction was based on a combination of cash and shares in Cityneon. Animax is expected to contribute immediately to the revenue and profits of the Group.
At the end of 2019, Animax Designs unveiled a new industry-leading technical design team, led by Chris Lee, Director of Technical Design.
