A new travel industry event is set to take place this June in Bangkok. Arival will cater to creators and sellers of tours, activities and visitor attractions throughout the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

The three-day event – from June 24 to 26 – will assist tourism activity operators to manage fast-moving changes in digital marketing, online travel agent relations, the growth of travel experiences and personalisation.

A fast-growing sector

The in-destination sector is the fastest-growing in travel, worth an estimated US$170 billion a year. It is the third largest part of the travel industry after aviation and accommodation.

Around 400 people are expected to attend the Bangkok gathering, which follows earlier Arival events in the USA and Europe. Operators of day tours, foodie tours, eco-adventures, theme parks, museums, golf trips, sporting events and ground transportation will be able to meet with major enablers. Confirmed names include TripAdvisor Experiences, Google, Ctrip, Klook, BeMyGuest, Veltra, iVenture Card, Changi Recommends, GlobalTix and more.

“Arival is dedicated to advancing the business of creating amazing and profitable in-destination experiences,” says event founder and CEO, Douglas Quinby. The renowned travel industry analyst will also speak during the event. See the full list of speakers here.

Learn what Asia-Pacific travellers want

During the event in Bangkok, attendees will learn from exclusive research how Asia-Pacific travellers are booking tours and activities, what they expect and what they are most interested in doing on their trips. Booking insights will be provided from outbound markets such as China, Japan, Korea, Europe and North America. In addition to a conference component, Arival will feature technology workshops and sponsored demo labs featuring the latest in travel tech.

“If you play a role in shaping the travellers’ experience when they arrive in-destination across Asia Pacific, then Arival in Bangkok is for you,” says the event’s COO and 35-year travel industry veteran, Bruce Rosard.

Blooloop is the official Attractions Media Partner for all three Arival conferences this year.
