The peak summer travel months are upon us, and attractions are the centerpiece for many upcoming trips.  The good news for operators is that most U.S. travelers plan to visit famous sites, parks and attractions this summer.

Natural attractions and parks are the most popular attractions that U.S. travelers plan to visit (52% of travelers).  While popular across all age segments, natural attractions are most popular among older travelers.  More than half of respondents ages 45 or older will include visits to these attractions in their summer plans.

Natural attractions are not the only game in town, however.  One third of U.S. travelers plan to visit a zoo or aquarium. Famous attractions, such as the Eiffel Tower, and art, cultural or historic museums also factor into summer travel plans (30%). One-quarter of travelers will visit a theme or amusement park.  The latter   factor more significantly among younger travelers  and families.

Overall, summer 2018 is looking strong for attraction visitation among U.S. travelers. Check out the full report:Arival’s Summer Traveler Pulse.
