Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group, the organiser of the Asia Amusement & Attractions Expo, has announced a date change for this year’s event.
Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group has been keeping a close eye on the global situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, in order to make informed decisions regarding its upcoming events. Given the current travel restrictions and warnings against mass gatherings, the company has decided to postpone the Asia Amusement & Attractions Expo.
The event was due to take place from 10 – 12 May 2020 and has now been moved to the new dates of 4 – 6 August 2020. There is also a slight change to the venue. It will now be held at Area B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, China.
Postponement
While this was a difficult decision for the organising committee, it does believe that this is the right course of action to help stop the spread of the virus and to protect the health and safety of attendees. The organisers would like to apologise for any inconvenience and to thank attendees for their support and understanding during this unprecedented situation.
The Asia Amusement & Attractions Expo was established 15 years ago and the event has steadily grown and expanded into a key trade show for the Chinese attractions industry. In 2018, it hosted more than 850 exhibitors, saw about 18,000 pre-registered buyers, displayed more than 1050 new products, and had a trade show floor measuring 100,000 square metres.
A growing exhibition
Asia Amusement & Attractions Expo 2019 was a record-breaking show. Now one of the largest amusement and attractions trade shows in the world, last year’s event was the biggest to date. Exhibitors came from 11 countries and regions, and the number of overseas exhibitors grew by 35%.
At last year’s event, to celebrate its 15th anniversary, organisers also set up a special awards ceremony to honour those exhibitors and partners who have supported the event since the early days.
