UK attractions, including theme parks, museums and zoos, are closing their doors once again ahead of the latest national lockdown in response to COVID-19.
COVID-19 case numbers are rising rapidly across the UK. In light of this, the government has ordered certain businesses and venues to close by November 5.
This includes entertainment venues, such as theatres, concert halls, cinemas, museums and galleries, casinos and arcades, bingo halls, bowling alleys, concert halls, and zoos and aquariums.
The new measures will apply nationally for four weeks up to December 2, when the government will consider returning to a regional approach.

Alton Towers, Chessington World of Adventures, and Legoland Windsor will close from November 5, while the main theme park season has now finished at Thorpe Park.
Chester Zoo is shutting temporarily from 4pm on November 4 “as part of the government’s national lockdown coronavirus measures”, and ZSL London Zoo closes on November 5.
“This closure is part of the government’s national lockdown measures to control the spread of coronavirus,” said Chester Zoo.
“We are looking forward to being able to welcome our visitors and members back to the zoo from 3 December.”

The British Museum will close on November 4, and said in a statement (via The Art Newspaper): “We hope we will be able to reopen in early December and welcome visitors back to the museum.
“[It] remains open and accessible online and we will continue to share the collection, research and programmes in ways which do not require a trip to the museum.”
Museums, theme parks and other attractions in France, Germany, Belgium and Italy have also been ordered to close as the latest wave of COVID-19 hits Europe.
